We have a different philosophy than most folks in the world today. We have come to the conclusion that if someone else can do something, then we can do it, too! ...Just as good or better... and, the biggy, CHEAPER. Because of this, we are busy most of the time! Luckily neither of us desires to be a brain surgeon or a skydiver, but everything else is up for grabs! Here you will find some of our projects that have gone on around here and some that we have just begun. We'd be glad to answer any questions about how we went about things, but the best advice we can give you is to just

Our Home
We built our home a piece at a time and are still working on it. We should be finished by the time we're 100 yrs. old or so! And, yes, it's hard to see it through all the stuff we've planted. We're the nuts who think we need a rainforest in West Texas!
Our Second Pond
Ok, this is our second pond. I guess you could say the first one was a trial run. Once again, labor and rocks were free, but it took some trial and error. If you are considering using bentonite for a pond, talk to us first! We ended up going with a 60'x60' rubber liner in the end. Do you know how hard it is to get rid of several tons of kitty litter??
